Coffee with Luke: Holiday Getaway – Day 4 ๐ข๐ง๐
Friday: SeaWorld Spectacular, Snacks, and Surf
Wow—what an action-packed Day 4 of the holiday! This one was all about adventure, entertainment, and soaking in some of the best things the Gold Coast has to offer. Buckle up, because this was a big day.
We started off at none other than SeaWorld. From the moment we arrived, there was excitement in the air. The weather was great, the crowd wasn’t too heavy, and the vibe was perfect for a full day of exploring.
One of the first things we saw was the Thunder Lake Stunt Show, and oh my god—it was amazing. Fast boats, water skiers, stunts, flips, jumps—you name it, they did it. The talent and coordination of the stunt team were absolutely next level. It had us on the edge of our seats. ๐ฅ๐ฆ
After the show, we wandered around the park and explored everything SeaWorld had to offer. We saw the penguins waddling around, the majestic dolphins playing, sharks swimming silently, and even the powerful polar bearslounging in their enclosure. It was an animal lover’s dream.
By lunchtime, Mum and I shared a delicious pizza. Sometimes a simple slice of pizza at a theme park just hits differently—and this one totally did. ๐
Then, we circled back to Thunder Lake and watched the stunt show a second time because once just wasn’t enough. And while we were waiting for the show to start, we shared some loaded fries, which were absolutely packed with toppings and flavour. I also got a professional photo with the stunt team—which was pretty cool and made for an awesome souvenir from the day.

After SeaWorld round two, we headed over to Surfers Paradise for a bit of a walk and to take in the buzz of the area. There’s always something going on there—street performers, lights, cool shops, music, and that classic Gold Coast vibe. We wandered around, enjoyed the scenery, and started thinking about dinner.
Mum suggested Wahlburgers for dinner (how good is she with ideas, right?), and we were just about to head there when I realised—my photo from SeaWorld didn’t make it onto my Fast Photo card! ๐ฑ
So… we made a quick trip back to SeaWorld to get it sorted. Luckily, the staff were really helpful and got it fixed. While we were waiting, we decided to just chill out a bit. Mum asked me to grab her a lemonade, and she picked up a pie while I grabbed a classic sausage roll—just a simple snack, but a nice moment shared together.
And guess what? We ended up staying for the Thunder Lake Stunt Show one more time – a third time! It was just as exciting and epic as the first. Honestly, I could watch it again and again—it’s that good!
We finished the day by grabbing a quick dinner at Zambrero’s (can never go wrong with that), and then headed back to the holiday place for a well-earned rest. What a day!
