Coffee with Luke: Real Estate Agent Hunt – A Bus Stop Safari
The First 3 Faces in the Real Estate Billboard Jungle
Hi legends and loyal readers of Coffee with Luke!
If you live in Brisbane, chances are you've walked past a bus stop and found yourself greeted by a smiling, suit-clad local real estate agent. Their faces are everywhere—beaming with confidence, posing like property-selling superheroes, and promising to make your dreams come true (or at least help you find a 3-bed, 2-bath with a carport).
So I’ve decided to turn it into a fun little real estate safari. Every time I spot one of these bold billboards, I snap a photo and rate each agent with some quirky categories that you won't find on any real estate awards night... but you will here!
Let’s meet our first three billboard champions, shall we?
🏡 Agent #1: Nyree Ewings – LJ Hooker
Nyree’s poster just screams confidence and elegance. You can tell this isn’t her first bus stop. The beige and white outfit is giving “I just sold your neighbour’s house before you even noticed the sign went up.” She’s got that top-tier agent energy that only the #1 agent in QLD can give!
Most Stylish Agent – ✅ Yes, ma’am! Nyree’s look is polished, elegant, and totally professional. The soft blazer, layered neutrals, and poise? Chef’s kiss.
Cheesiest Smile – ❌ Nope – this is a high-quality, corporate smile. Confident, but not cringey.
Best Hair Day – ✅ A bouncy blonde blowout with soft waves that could sell homes on its own.
Most Dramatic Pose – ❌ Very calm and composed. No drama here—just results.
Agent I’d Trust With My House Keys – ✅ Absolutely. She gives off serious “I’ll have your keys cut and colour-coded” vibes.
🏡 Agents #2: Josh & Jake Sherwood – Freedom Property
These two are bringing the cool. Dressed in smart-casual whites, perched effortlessly on a ledge, they look like they’re hosting a reality show called “Flip My Suburb.” They’ve got that approachable best-mates energy, and you just know they’d grab a coffee with you before a viewing.
Most Stylish Agent – ✅ Double trouble in matching white polos and neutral tones. They’ve nailed that cool but confident look.
Cheesiest Smile – ✅ Oh yes. Jake (on the right) is flashing a smile so big it could light up an open house. It’s contagious.
Best Hair Day – ✅ Both of them are having a great hair day. Josh’s fade is sharp, and Jake’s quiff is on point.
Most Dramatic Pose – ✅ Sitting casually on a concrete ledge with sunglasses in hand? It’s practically a GQ spread. Effortlessly dramatic.
Agent I’d Trust With My House Keys – ✅ Yes! They look like they’d send you a cheeky video update and maybe even water your plants.
🏡 Agent #3: The Thumbs-Up Legend – Gould Estate Agents
This guy has personality for days. Rocking a black polo and giving a full-on thumbs-up, this agent is here to connect with the people. He’s got that friendly dad energy – like the type of guy who knows all the neighbours by name.
Most Stylish Agent – ❌ Not as fashion-forward as the others, but it works! Practical and comfortable—like a weekend BBQ outfit.
Cheesiest Smile – ✅ The grin + the thumbs-up = 10/10 cheddar. And we love it.
Best Hair Day – ❌ Not the focus here, but the glasses and short cut are neat and tidy.
Most Dramatic Pose – ✅ A full thumbs-up with intense enthusiasm? That’s a drama pose in the best way possible.
Agent I’d Trust With My House Keys – ✅ 100%. He’s probably already got a spreadsheet for everything and would leave a thank-you card when you return.
🏆 Luke’s Honourable Mentions – Round 1
Best Billboard Overall: Josh & Jake – Cool, clean, and totally millennial real estate vibes.
Most Professional Presence: Nyree Ewings – A true master of the agent billboard game.
Most Relatable Legend: The Gould Estate Agent – I’d hire him just for the thumbs-up alone.
That’s a wrap on Round 1 of the Real Estate Agent Hunt. Stay tuned for more billboard beauties and bus stop breakdowns as I continue my safari around Brisbane! Got a favourite agent ad in your area? Send it my way!
Until next time,
Keep sipping, keep smiling, and keep exploring—Luke ☕️
