Birthday Sips and Simple Moments
Today’s my birthday — and instead of doing something big or rushing around, I’m just sitting here, taking a moment for myself. The morning light is soft, the air feels calm, and I’ve got my Yeti mug in hand — the one my sister got me for my birthday. It’s one of those perfect, thoughtful gifts that make you smile every time you use it.
Now, here’s the funny part: I’m not even sipping coffee… I’m sipping Sprite. Yep, Sprite in a Yeti mug. It’s chilled, fizzy, and exactly what I feel like right now. There’s something kind of nice about just doing things your own way, especially on your birthday.
As I sit here, I find myself thinking about how far I’ve come this year — the people I’ve met, the new support workers I’ve connected with, the experiences I’ve had, and all the little things that have made life richer. Sometimes birthdays aren’t about big parties or loud celebrations — sometimes they’re about stillness, reflection, and just being grateful.
So here’s to another year — to more laughter, adventures, and those quiet, unexpected moments that mean the most.
Happy Birthday to me π₯³
— Luke
