πŸš—πŸ’Έ The Uber Ride That Made My Jaw Drop

Today I had one of those moments where you look at your phone, see the price of something, and just stare like, “You’ve GOT to be kidding me…”

Because that’s exactly what happened when I booked an Uber.

I only needed to go about 20 minutes away — nothing special, nothing out of the ordinary. Just your regular little trip. But then the ride ends, and the total pops up…

πŸ‘‰ $77.
For twenty minutes.
SEVENTY. SEVEN. DOLLARS.

Honestly, it felt absolutely disgusting that they charged that much.

And what made it even worse?
Right there on the Uber app, it had that lovely message:

“Popular demand for drivers right now.”

Translation: We’re gonna charge you WAY more because we can.

I get that drivers need to be paid…and I fully support that. But sometimes these surge prices feel like they’re aimed right at the people who don’t have many options — and today, that was definitely me.

I stepped out of that car thinking, How can a 20-minute ride be nearly eighty bucks?
I could’ve bought groceries, paid a bill, or taken myself out for a whole meal with that money!

But hey… at least I got to my appointment safe.
Still annoyed, but safe. πŸ˜…

If anyone else has been hit with those ridiculous Uber surge prices, trust me — I feel your pain.
