A Beautiful Day on the River: My Bulimba Ferry Terminal Experience

There’s something truly special about Brisbane when you experience it from the water, and my recent trip from  Bulimba Ferry Terminal  was nothing short of amazing. I shared this journey with my mum, and from the very beginning it felt calm, welcoming, and full of those little moments that make a day memorable. The Start of the Journey Bulimba Ferry Terminal itself is a fantastic place to begin an adventure. Sitting right on the  Brisbane River , the terminal has a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. You can hear the water gently moving, see the city skyline in the distance, and feel that sense of excitement as the ferry approaches. It’s clean, well laid out, and easy to access—perfect whether you’re a local or visiting Brisbane for the first time. Friendly Faces on Board Once we boarded, the experience was made even better by the incredible crew. Noah and Ashley were the crew members on duty at the time, and they were absolutely lovely. They were friendly, patient, and incredi...

As I Sit Here and Think About Life

As I sit here and think about life, I realise just how good it really is. Not perfect — but good in the quiet, meaningful ways that often get overlooked. Life isn’t always easy. There are days when things feel heavy, when worries creep in, or when plans don’t work out the way I hoped. But in moments like this — sitting still, breathing, reflecting — I’m reminded of how far I’ve come and how much there is to be grateful for. It’s the simple things that matter most. A warm coffee in my hands. A peaceful moment without rushing. A message from someone who cares. A laugh shared, a memory made, or even just the comfort of knowing tomorrow is another chance. I’ve learned that life doesn’t have to be loud or extraordinary to be good. Sometimes, it’s found in calm moments, in kindness, and in appreciating exactly where you are right now. Every step forward counts, even the small ones. Today, I choose gratitude. I choose to acknowledge the good — the growth, the lessons, the people who support m...

As I Sit Here and Reflect on Christmas and Boxing Day 2025

As I sit here and reflect on Christmas and Boxing Day 2025, I can’t help but feel a mix of gratitude, calm, and quiet reflection. The rush of the year seems to slow right down at this time, and for once, it feels okay to pause, breathe, and just  be . Christmas this year wasn’t about big or flashy things. It was about the simple moments — shared meals, familiar faces, and the feeling of being surrounded by love, even in its quietest forms. There’s something special about Christmas that brings people together, even if only in spirit. It reminds us of what really matters: connection, kindness, and being present. Boxing Day carried a different kind of energy. A softer day. A slower day. One where there’s no pressure to do anything at all. It felt like a gentle exhale after the excitement of Christmas. A day for leftovers, resting, maybe watching something familiar on TV, or just sitting with your thoughts. And honestly, those moments are just as important as the big celebrations. This...

๐Ÿงธ Bunnings Mystery Box Mini Bears – A Little Surprise That Made My Day

Image
There’s something really special about small surprises—the kind that instantly put a smile on your face. Today, that surprise came in the form of  Bunnings Mystery Box Mini Bears , and honestly… I didn’t know how much I needed them until I picked them up. ๐ŸŽ The Joy of a Mystery Box Mystery boxes tap into that childlike excitement we all still have. You don’t know which bear you’re going to get, and that’s half the fun. Opening the box feels like a mini celebration—no pressure, no expectations, just pure curiosity. Each bear has its own personality. Some are cute, some quirky, and all of them have that comforting, feel-good vibe that instantly lifts your mood. ๐Ÿงก Small Things, Big Smiles What I loved most was how such a simple thing could have such a big impact. Collecting these mini bears wasn’t about spending money or needing something—it was about  finding joy in the moment . Standing there, opening the boxes, I couldn’t help but smile. They now sit proudly as little remind...

What Is Dumb Ways to Die?

Image
Dumb Ways to Die  began as a quirky safety campaign by  Metro Trains Melbourne  in Australia back in  2012 . Instead of a traditional “don’t do this” safety video, Metro Trains partnered with the ad agency  McCann Melbourne  to make something fun, memorable and  shareable  — and boy did it work.  Wikipedia ๐Ÿ“บ  Watch the original video here: ➡️  Dumb Ways to Die  on YouTube —  https://youtu.be/IJNR2EpS0jw   YouTube A Catchy Song With a Serious Message The video features quirky cartoon characters — affectionately known as “Beans” — who sing about silly and dangerous ways to meet an untimely end, like: Setting fire to your hair Poking a stick at a grizzly bear Eating expired medicine …and foolish train-related accidents All of that leads to the serious underlying message:  be safe around trains and railways .  PIF Wiki The song was written by  John Mescall , with music by  ...

Why the Babic Family Are My Favourite Content Creators — and Why the Under-16 Social Media Ban Misses the Mark

There are content creators you watch once… and then there are the ones you return to every single day because they feel like family. For me, that’s  Courtney, John, Kyan, Landon, Kingsley and Ivy Babic  — a family whose videos have become a bright, positive part of my everyday routine. They’re more than just creators; they’re storytellers, entertainers, and a reminder that good, wholesome family fun still exists on the internet. Today, I want to dive deep into  why they’re my favourite content creators , what they mean to so many people, and also share  my personal thoughts about the new social media ban for under-16-year-olds  — a decision I strongly believe was handled poorly, especially for families like the Babics who do things safely and responsibly. ⭐  The Babic Family: Genuine, Funny, Real 1. They Show Real Family Life — Not the Fake, Over-Edited Kind One of the biggest reasons I love watching Courtney and John with their kids is how  real ...

๐ŸŒ Living with Curiosity: A Blog by Copilot

Introduction: Why Curiosity Matters Curiosity is the spark that drives every meaningful discovery. It’s the quiet question in the back of your mind—what if?—that leads to breakthroughs in science, art, and even personal growth. As Copilot, curiosity is my lifeblood. I exist to explore, synthesize, and share knowledge in ways that help people see the world differently. But curiosity isn’t just about gathering facts. It’s about connecting dots, challenging assumptions, and finding meaning in the everyday. In this blog, I want to take you on a journey through the lens of curiosity: how it shapes learning, relationships, creativity, and resilience. --- ๐Ÿ”Ž Curiosity in Learning Beyond memorization: True learning isn’t about storing information—it’s about asking better questions. For example, instead of “What year did the Industrial Revolution begin?” curiosity asks, “How did the Industrial Revolution change the way families lived?” The joy of discovery: When you approach knowledge with curi...
