My Goals for 2026: A Colourful Vision of Growth, Courage, and Connection
One of my biggest goals for 2026 is to try different coffee shops around Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Coffee has always been more than just a drink for me — it’s about connection, conversation, and taking a moment to slow down. Each café visit is an opportunity to explore new places, meet people, and create small moments that turn into big memories.
Another dream close to my heart is a trip back to Tasmania. Tasmania will always be home. It holds my childhood memories, my roots, and a deep sense of belonging. Going back isn’t just about travel — it’s about reconnecting with where I come from and honouring the journey that’s brought me to where I am today.
In 2026, I want to focus on more blog writing. Writing helps me process life, reflect on my experiences, and share my story with honesty. My goal is to keep showing up on my blog, even on days when it feels hard, because my voice matters and my story deserves to be told.
A huge goal for me is to publish my own book with my support worker, Jack McCoy. This is something I’m incredibly proud of. It represents teamwork, trust, and believing in myself. This book isn’t just about words on pages — it’s about lived experience, resilience, and showing what’s possible when the right support is in place.
I also want to launch a podcast with Jack. This excites me so much. A podcast is another way to share stories, have real conversations, and let people see the world through my eyes. It’s about learning, laughing, and being open — and I can’t wait to see where it leads.
Another meaningful goal is to host my own art class in 2026. Art gives people a voice when words are hard. I want to create a space where people feel safe, encouraged, and proud of what they create — no pressure, just creativity and fun.
Connection is a big theme for me. I want to catch up with my cousin Jackie once a month for coffee or lunch, because relationships matter. Life gets busy, but making time for family is something I really value.
There are also deeply personal goals on this board. One of them is to pray for Mum as she continues her cancer journey. This is written with love, hope, and strength. It’s a reminder that even during tough times, faith and family keep me grounded.
I want to meet my primary school teachers again — the people who supported me early on and helped shape who I am today. It feels important to reconnect and say thank you.
In 2026, I want to create more “day in the life” videos, sharing my everyday experiences honestly and openly. I also want to attend more “Today at Apple” events, keep learning, and continue building my confidence with creativity and technology.
Another fun goal is to try different places like the zoo and Sea World — because joy, curiosity, and new experiences don’t have an age limit.
Finally, I’ve written something light-hearted but very true: “Use ChatGPT more, haha.” This journey has shown me how powerful tools, support, and creativity can be when used together.
At the bottom of the board is something incredibly important to me — my support team. Every name listed represents someone who believes in me, supports me, and walks beside me. I wouldn’t be where I am without them.
This board is colourful because my life is colourful. It’s hopeful because I am hopeful. And it’s a promise to myself that in 2026, I will keep showing up, trying new things, staying connected, and believing that my dreams are valid.
Here’s to 2026 — one coffee, one goal, one step at a time ☕✨
