My Thoughts on Married at First Sight Australia 2026

Hey everyone, Luke here πŸ‘‹

Like many of you, I’ve been glued to the TV watching Married at First Sight Australia 2026. This season has been full of drama, emotions, surprises, and those classic MAFS dinner parties that always keep us talking. So I thought I’d share my personal thoughts on the couples and how I feel things are playing out so far.

The Season Overall

This year feels extra intense. From the very first weddings, you could tell some couples had real chemistry, while others looked like they were heading for trouble from day one. I’ve enjoyed watching how relationships grow, but also how personalities clash — because let’s be honest, that’s what makes MAFS so interesting.

There are a few couples I’m actually rooting for. When you see genuine connection, respect, and effort, it reminds you what the experiment is really about — finding love and learning about yourself along the way.

The Contestants I’m Struggling With

Now, I always try to stay positive, but being honest — there are a few contestants I personally don’t connect with this season.

Gia

For me, Gia comes across very strong and sometimes a bit too confrontational. Confidence is great, but I feel like sometimes she shuts down communication instead of building it. Relationships need patience and understanding, and I don’t always see that from her.

Brooke

Brooke has had some moments where I felt frustrated watching. At times it feels like she focuses more on the drama rather than the relationship. I really hope she starts showing more openness and effort, because the experiment only works when both people genuinely try.

Mel

Mel is probably the one I struggle with the most. Sometimes her reactions feel over the top, and I feel like it creates unnecessary tension. I always believe calm communication works best in relationships, and I’d love to see her take a softer approach moving forward.

The Couples I’m Watching Closely

There are a few couples I won’t name yet — but I’ll say this: when both people show kindness, patience, and real effort, you can see the difference instantly. Those are the couples I believe could actually make it outside the experiment.

Final Thoughts

At the end of the day, Married at First Sight is a social experiment — and everyone is human. We all have flaws, emotions, and different ways of handling pressure. Even when I don’t agree with certain contestants, I still respect that they put themselves out there on national TV, which takes courage.

I’ll definitely keep watching πŸ‘€
Let’s see who grows, who crashes, and who might actually find real love this season.

What do you think?
Who are your favourite couples? And who do you struggle to watch?
