Coffee with Luke: Meet My Amazing Support Worker, Rhyley Salmon

Welcome back to the "Coffee with Luke" blog series! Today, I want to share a bit about another incredible support worker I found through Mable—Rhyley Salmon.  he’s an independent support worker, and working with him has been a fantastic experience.

The Importance of the Meet-and-Greet

When it comes to finding the right support worker, the meet-and-greet is crucial. It’s your chance to get a feel for the person before you commit to their services. For me, when I first met Rhyley, I immediately knew he was the right fit. Even though I was a bit anxious, we just clicked. That initial connection made all the difference in how we work together now.

A Little About Rhyley

One of the cool things about Rhyley is that he’s really into running. It’s something he’s passionate about, and it shows in how active and energetic he is. He’s the kind of person who’s always on time and makes sure every session is as productive as it can be. Rhyley is also a great conversationalist, so there’s never a dull moment when you’re working with him.

Why Rhyley Stands Out

What makes Rhyley special is that he’s always got ideas ready for the session, even if I don’t have any in mind myself. He’s adaptable, supportive, and great at figuring out what I need, even when I’m not sure how to articulate it. Plus, he’s open to letting you check in with him via message if you need some support between sessions. That extra level of care makes a huge difference.

My Experience with Rhyley

I’ve had a lot of sessions with Rhyley now, and each one has gone smoothly. Over time, we’ve developed a strong bond, almost like becoming friends. He’s so chilled out and relaxed, which really helps put me at ease. Our sessions have built up a great rhythm, and I feel more connected and supported every time we meet.
