My Big Blue Table 2024 for Beyond Blue: A Night of Community and Mental Health Advocacy

Image
Tonight, I had the privilege of hosting my Big Blue Table event at the Belmont Tavern, a gathering to raise money and awareness for Beyond Blue, a cause close to my heart. It was a fantastic evening filled with friends, family, and a strong sense of community, all united by the shared goal of supporting mental health initiatives. I’m thrilled to share that we had a pretty good turnout! My mum, Lyn, was by my side, and she brought along her lovely friends Antonia and Karen. It was really special to have them there, showing their support for such an important cause. A couple of my workmates, Andre and Andrew, also attended, which meant a lot to me. My support worker, Nathan, made time to come, and my cousin Jacqui joined the fun as well. Having such a diverse group of people from different parts of my life all in one place really made the night extra special. The event itself went smoothly, with everyone enjoying the atmosphere at Belmont Tavern. There was a lot of laughter, great conver...

It was more than just an interview—it was a discussion that aligned my passion for helping others and my personal commitment to mental health advocacy with Mable’s mission to foster independence and dignity for all. In addition to the interview, Mable had already played a significant role in my life by connecting me with Nathan Whitby, a fantastic support worker who has had a tremendous impact on my well-being and day-to-day life. Nathan, much like the team at Mable, embodies the values of empowerment, trust, and care that make this platform so special.
