A Disappointing Experience at Apple Carindale – But a Shout-Out Where It’s Due
Today I went into the Apple Store at Carindale hoping to get some help with my laptop. I didn’t go in angry or expecting special treatment — I simply wanted to see if someone could help me or point me in the right direction.
Unfortunately, the experience I had with the staff member who served me was really disappointing.
As soon as I explained why I was there, I was met with a very abrupt and rude response. I was told, quite sharply, “We’re booked out,” and the way it was said felt more like I was being told off than helped. The staff member raised his voice at me, which honestly caught me off guard. I remember thinking, “Whoa… this doesn’t feel okay.”
What surprised me most was that there was no effort to help find an alternative solution. I asked if there was another appointment available or another option, but instead I was told to “come back next week or try a different Apple Store.”That response really shocked me — not because stores get busy (I completely understand that), but because of the lack of care and respect shown in that moment. It didn’t feel like the Apple experience people usually talk about.
At that point, I decided it was best to leave rather than let the situation escalate. I went home, jumped online, and booked my own appointment without any issues — which made the earlier interaction even more confusing.
Later, I called the Apple Store Carindale and asked to speak with a manager. That’s when things turned around.
I spoke with Jamie, and she was absolutely amazing. She listened to me calmly, treated me with respect, and genuinely cared about what I had experienced. She handled the situation professionally and kindly — exactly how customer service should feel. Talking to her reminded me why I usually trust and respect Apple as a company.
This post isn’t about attacking anyone. It’s about being honest. Everyone has bad days, but how we treat people still matters — especially when someone is just asking for help.
Thank you, Jamie, for restoring my faith in the Apple experience. Your kindness didn’t go unnoticed.
